Golders Green lost their League game against Southall 2-0 last Saturday.
Southall went ahead after 10 minutes when a shot from MORRAD hit the underside of the crossbar and rebounded into play, the referee ruling that the ball had crossed the line. Their second goal, after half an hour, came from PINE whose rather tame shot slid through Malkin's hands into the goal. Between these goals, the Green attacked heavily, but could not score.
The second half saw the visitors on top for the greater part. Stroud was now at centre forward and Alexander at outside right, but, though the Green kept Southall penned in for long periods, and gained several corners, there was lacking just that cohesion in the attack which would have made all the difference.
