The FA announced the latest proposals for restructuring the pyramid yesteray in a press release. Most importantly, however, the new stucture has the agreement of all four major Leagues affect - the Conference, Southern, Northern and the Isthmian. The result of the recent talks is that Conference's proposal of a North and a South division will go ahead subject to FA agreement. Entry criteria is to be agreed before the beginning of next season, with the new divisions starting in 2004/5. Meanwhile, the Conference are also looking to push through a late change which would see next season's competition expanded to 24 clubs - having a knock on effect on the feeder leagues due to only one being relegated from the Conference.
