Hendon completed their season on a high note with a good 1-0 win against Margate, who went into the game needing to win to have any chance of reaching the play-offs. Hendon played the better football in the first half which ended goalless, but their efforts were rewarded five minutes into the second half when Belal Aiteouakrim fired home. The game was also notable for the fact that father & son Bontcho and Iavor Guentchev both came on as subsitutes, Iavor for his debut. The results today leave Hendon in a very decent 14th place, and congratulations must go to Gary, Freddie, Bontcho and all the players for what has been a superb achievement this season.
