Hendon enter into the quarter finals as they brush aside AFC Dunstable during a cold night at Creasy Park. Both teams were looking to put in a strong performance and enter the next round of the cup, but it was Hendon who dominated.

Lee Allinson made 6 changes to the side that draw away at Blackfield & Langley as Romario Jonas, Sergio Manesio, Luke Tingey, Kingsley Eshun, Joseph Felix and Kameron English entered the starting line-up.

The game begun in a similar fashion to the previous game against Blackfield as Hendon aimed to dictate and control the game. Hendon pinged the ball around and went on the front foot in search of the opening goal.

However, despite the domination, the hosts looked more likely to score as a series of corners in quick succession glanced over the Hendon goal. These were the only chances the hosts had during the half.

Hendon continued to dominate but it took a while for them to take advantage of it in the 38th minute as Kingsley Eshun gathered the ball from Manesio and placed it past the keeper and into the bottom corner as Hendon took a deserved lead.

Hendon went into the half 1-0 up and in complete control of the game, The best half of football under Lee Allinson's reign.

The second half began the same way as the first with Hendon on the front foot and looking to put this game to bed.

Early chances to end the game came to Felix who saw his shot deflected for a corner and the resulting corner was nearly converted by English who couldn’t make a clean connection.

Eventually, Hendon did get the second goal as Shaun Lucien dribbled on the edge of the box and hit an absolute beauty past the keeper and into the top corner. Not sure you can get a better first goal for the club than that. Green army chants echoed amongst the away fans as Hendon doubled their lead.

The Green army were flying as they saw the game out with a composed yet dominant performance where the hosts did not have a clear chance at goal.

The game ended 2-0 to the Greens with a well-deserved clean sheet, the first one since 12th November against Leyton Orient.
