Match Report

INTRODUCTION :
Following on their 7-1 victory over Eversheds in the Middlesex Senior Cup, Golders Green gained three League points from Wealdstone over Christmas. Considering that they fielded teams below full strength this can be considered satisfactory.

Stroud was loaned to the Arsenal for both days, Barker's military duties prevented him from playing, and McKinney pulled a leg muscle early in the Christmas morning game and was unable to play on Boxing Day.

CHRISTMAS MORNING :
In 12 minutes Wealdstone had a two goal lead, DYKE and STANTON scoring. The visitors switched their side and after 20 minutes MUNDAY scored with a penalty kick for hands. Ten minutes later COCHRANE equalised from Worthington's pass. Midway through the second half COCHRANE gave the Green the lead, but eight minutes from time HORN equalised from close in.
