EASTER MONDAY :
Without Bossoms, Mitchell and Bucci, Golders Green put up a plucky fight at Osborne Road on Easter Monday against Leyton, who occupy third place in the Herts & Middlesex League table.

The Green eventually lost by the odd goal of three. As on Saturday, however, they had sufficient openings to enable the game to have been won easily.

Leyton opened the score after 18 minutes' play when BIGGS converted a free kick for hands taken by Facey, while seven minutes later BIGGS again netted to put the home side two up, an advantage which they held at half time.

In the second half, the Green pressed hard, but could only notch one goal. This came after 20 minutes' play when, following a corner on the right, GALLACHER headed in.
