Tufnell Park were at home to Golders Green in the 1st Round of the Middlesex Red cross Cup at Claremont Road last Saturday, and after a hard fought encounter earned the right, by the odd goal of three, to entertain Wood Green in the 2nd round.

Tufnell Park deserved their win : they relied upon quick tackling and hard kicking against which Golders Green tried to play a close passing game, with fatal results. The Green's inside forwards were particular offenders while the wingers put over very few centres.
