Golders Green were further weakened for this game by the absence of Avis and Marrable, and they were well beaten. J. Jones, a youngster who had figured in the Tuesday trial, was given a show at outside left, and performed very promisingly ; with more support and experience he should prove a good winger. Once again the Green forwards were too easily dispossessed of the ball, their passing was bad, and, as a result, the defence was continually under very heavy pressure.

Enfield took the lead after 10 minutes, when HURST converted a good pass from Stead ; CHICK scored the second from Hurst's pass after half-an-hour's play.

Fifteen minutes after half-time HURST headed home a centre from Barley for Enfield's third, and five minutes later CHICK scored the fourth.
