Hendon continued their perfect start to the campaign with a dogged performance to beat Bedfont Sports 1-0 in the first Middlesex derby of the campaign.

Jordan Williams grabbed the only goal of the game, heading home a first half corner from Tyler Notley and, in a contest of few chances, he and Shawn Joseph proved almost immovable at the other end as Bedfont pressed hard for an equaliser in the second half.

The three points moves Hendon level on points with Winchester City at the top of the table, but behind on goal difference.

On Saturday, the Greens begin their FA Trophy campaign with a visit to high-flying Hastings United.
