With 14 goals in the past two fixtures, Hendon's see-saw season has continued in recent weeks with a 4-4 draw against Raynes Park Vale, and a disappointing 4-2 defeat on Saturday at home to AFC Portchester.

Hendon got off to the worst possible start against Raynes Park with Ibra Sekajja scoring inside five minutes. Jadyn Dundas equalised from a near-impossible angle before more poor defending saw Chadd Yassin-Sheriff and David Omilabu make it 3-1 to the visitors.

Sam Shaban grabbed a trademark poacher's goal to reduce the arrears, but within 20 seconds the ball was in the Hendon net again, Sekajja lobbing home after Keagan Cole's slip. Jordan Grey's nifty footwork made it 4-3 just before the break and after laying siege to the visitor's goal throughout the second half, the returning Tobi Adaje's sixth goal of the season salvaged a deserved point.

Things were less successful on Saturday, against high-flying AFC Portchester. Jack Lee thumped home a header just past the half hour mark before Sam Shaban equalised with an equally good header from Brad Dixon-Smith's excellent cross. Shaban gave Hendon the lead 14 seconds into the second half, but again, the Greens conceded immediately through Alfie Stanley.

A counter-attack saw Josh Clack make it 3-2 on 64 minutes, an advantage the visitors never looked like surrendering especially after Ryan Pennery's penalty with 15 minutes remaining.
