Hendon bowed out of the Middlesex Senior Cup on penalties against a well-organised and youthful Queens Park Rangers side at Hanwell Town last night.

The Greens created a host of openings, including well over double figures in corner kicks, but failed to breach the well-drilled Hoops back line. When they were breached. young goalkeeper Joel Halliday put in a faultless performance to make several fine second half saves.

16-year old striker Gabe Olawabusola put the Hoops ahead from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute before J'ardell Stirling swept home a loose ball into the box to take the tie to penalties.

The first four spot kicks were saved by Frankie Beckles and Halliday, and although Florian Ada scored from the spot, Sam Shaban and Stirling clattered their efforts against the bar to give the young West Londoners the win 2-1 on penalties.
