Hendon suffered a preliminary round exit from the FA Cup on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat at Steyning Town.

Although they took the lead through Niko Muir's first goal of the season, two goals in the final 20 minutes were enough to take the Sussex side through to the next round.

Evan Hoarty grabbed the equaliser before a rocket from Harry Heath left Josh Strizovic grasping at thin air in the 88th minute to secure a deserved winner for the hosts.

Hendon were left to rue a poor second half performance as they exited to lower-league opposition for the second season in succession.
