Long journey to east coast tomorrow

It's the second trip of the season to Suffolk tomorrow as the first team make the long journey to Lowestoft.

It is a relatively quick return to the East Coast town as the last visit was on the final day of last season when the home side ran out 1-0 winners on an afternoon where the Greens were reduced to nine men in the first half. However, the performance from the remaining players was outstanding, and were perhaps a touch unfortunate not to steal an equaliser.

Lowestoft, who were once again one of the pre-season favourites, have had a mixed start to the campaign, winning all three of their home games so far, scoring ten goals and not conceding any, but only picking up two points away from home, with just one goal scored.

Any trip to the Trawlerboys is a tough one, and there are two former Hendon players in their squad this season. Striker Bradley Woods-Garness, who had a spell on loan, joined the club during pre-season after leaving Canvey Island, whilst former keeper Will Viner also joined after departing Thurrock.

The Greens will go into the game knowing that they need to start turning performances into results in order to start moving up the league table. There have been no new injury problems reported, and hopefully one or two of those carrying knocks will be fit enough to stake a claim for a spot in the matchday squad.

There are still seats available on the coach priced at £12, please call Steve Rogers before 7pm today if you would like to travel.

Kick off at Crown Meadow is at 3pm. Hopefully there will be updates on the twitter feed for those unable to make the journey, but otherwise you can follow the game on the Ryman League vidiprinter available via the league website.
