The article that was allegedly carried in some editions of last Friday's Evening Standard which stated that Lionel Ritchie had made a bid to buy Hendon Football Club carries no truth. Vice-chairman Andrew Landesberg said that today is the first he has heard of it, and there have been no approaches from anyone to buy the club from the Arbiter group. He also stated that he was very disappointed that no supporter approached a club official on Saturday, when the rumours were around on terraces. He would like to stress that if a supporter has a question they would like to ask the club, they can be assured that they will find himself, chairman Ivor Arbiter, or secretary Graham Etchell, all approachable and honest in the answer they will be given.
