First of all Hendon FC would like to apologise to all supporters from both clubs who made the effort to attend tonights game which was unfortunately called off at 7.00pm. The reason that the game was called off was because the match referee found some large fragments of broken glass on the sanded areas of the pitch which were laid by our ground contractors earlier today. A thorough search of the pitch was made by club officials and supporters, and several more fragments were found, so the referee consulted with both club secretaries and managers about the situation, and both managers immediately said that the game should be called off on safety grounds. The game has been rearranged for next Tuesday, 22nd January, kick off 7.45pm. This therefore means that the Hayes game is put back a further week to the 29th January.
