Hendon dropped two points at Margate after leading 2-0 at half-time last night. Brian Haule opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, and following a half where Hendon totally controlled the game, Mark Kirby doubled the lead shortly before the break. The second half was a different story as Margate took control and pulled a goal back in the 69th minute through Wayne Wilson. In the 78th minute Louis Smith equalised, but sadly for the Greens, Luke Blackmore was badly hurt in the build up to the goal following an accidental collision that meant that he hit the frame of the goal. We are currently awaiting news on his condition and will update the website as soon as we hear anything. James Burgess took over for the rest of the game in the absence of a specialist goalkeeper on the bench, and did everything he had to do with some degree of comfort.
