Dave Anderson has been in contact with us late this evening, and has asked us to publish on the following message.

"As you may now be aware I have accepted the job as manager of AFC Wimbledon. I have made many friends at Hendon, and I hope that when the dust settles the clubs supporters will look back fondly on what we have achieved over the past few years. Thank you all for your excellent support during my time here.

"I have always worked hard for the club, and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed my time at Claremont Road. I would like to stress that Hendon's decision to remain in the Ryman League played no part in my decision to leave and I hope that all the clubs supporters will appreciate that the Wimbledon job is one that I would never have turned down.

"I am very proud to have managed Hendon, and I now leave Claremont Road having made many more friends in football than I had when I arrived at the club."

We would like to thank Dave for taking the time out of his holiday to contact us, and as mentioned earlier today we wish him all the best at AFC Wimbledon.
