Hendon had a profitable afternoon at Wembley today as they ran out 8-2 winners against their Combined Counties opposition. After Wembley had taken the lead early on, Ross Pickett, James Burgess, Jamie Busby and Lee O'Leary all scored in the first half. The goals continued to flow in the second half with Dean Thomas, Wayne O'Sullivan (2) and Dean Papali all finding the back of the net. Wembley's second goal came around the hour mark to make the score 6-2.

There were three new trialists in the squad today, goalkeeper Anthony O'Connor who has also trialed with Harrow this summer, Greg Deacon, a midfielder with experience at Watford, St Albans City and Stevenage Borough, and Dean Papali, an attacking player from Brook House. Also, we failed to mention last weekend in the list of players staying that James Parker is still with the club and should be available to play next weekend.
