The Greens moved another step closer to safety with a hard fought 2-1 win at Harrow Borough this afternoon. Hendon now only need 1 more point to avoid finishing in the bottom 3 and its looking increasingly likely that whichever Ryman club finishes 19th will have enough points on the board to stay up. Harrow were the better side for the first half an hour and took the lead with an outstanding long range strike from Bobby Highton that simply flew into the net in the 18th minute. However nine minutes later Hendon were level when Marc Leach slammed the ball home after a goalmouth scramble. From there on Hendon gradually took control of the game and in the second half piled on the pressure. Their efforts were rewarded in the 81st minute when Wayne O'Sullivan slid the ball home from close range from a fine low Craig Vargas cross.
