Hendon and Heybridge Swifts played out a 1-1 draw at a very warm Claremont Road this afternoon. The first half was almost a complete non-event, with neither keeper having to make a save, but early in the second half Hendon took the lead when a free kick out of defence from Marc Leach was controlled by Belal Aiteouakrim and he sent a beautiful lob over the advancing keeper. The equaliser came in the 81st minute when Heybridge broke away and Gary Burrell sent a fine shot low into the corner of the net.
