Page Green Old Boys were entertained on Saturday at the Avenue ground in the Middlesex League, and were defeated by 4 goals to 1.

Hampstead have now secured 14 points out of a possible 16 in the league, and hold a very commanding position.

The first half produced some very poor football, the Town playing much below their usual form, and profiting by a mistake on the part of one of the defenders, the Old Boys were a goal up at the interval.

On resuming Pennifer equalised for the Town, and after Pike had increased the lead with a fine shot, Pennifer brought his total for the afternoon to three as the result of some brilliant individual work.

The game was somewhat marred by some unpleasant incidents which occurred towards the close, in which the visitors were the chief offenders.
