Match Report

(Extract from the report of the Easter tour) :

On Easter Monday another huge crowd assembled to witness the final for the handsome trophy and gold medals presented by the local journal "La Meuse." By their victory on the previous day Hampstead had earned the right to meet the Royal Football Club Liegeois in the concluding encounter. In a hard and gruelling game Hampstead deservedly won by one goal to none, Wise being the successful marksman. The cup and medals were presented immediately after the game amidst the enthusiastic plaudits of the crowd.

The winning of the trophy rounded off the tour in fine style. Before leaving for England the Hampstead club received a pressing invitation from the Stad Francais to visit them in Paris next Easter.

A big crowd of local supporters welcomed the party on their return to town.
