Hampstead are making a short tour in the Channel Islands this Easter, and the players well deserve the holiday after their fine work this season.

Leaving Waterloo at 9 tonight (Thursday), Hampstead will meet Guernsey Island on Good Friday, Guernsey Northerners on Saturday, and Jersey Island on Monday. They are due to arrive home on Tuesday night. The players will be:- S.R. Smith, F.T. Webb (capt.), A. Parsons, F.G. Young, G. Bucci, R. Wardlaw, F.H. Sherman, H.J. Vanner, H.W. Shearcroft, A.G. Potter, S.J. Moore, S. Bloxham.

Despite the fact that it was not possible to include in the touring party one or two of their usual players, Hampstead did remarkably well in the Channel Islands during the week-end. The three fixtures were won, one goal only being dropped.

On Good Friday, Guernsey Island suffered defeat by one goal (Shearcroft); on Saturday, Guernsey Northerners were beaten by three goals (Vanner, Moore and Potter) to one; and the closing match on Easter Monday against Jersey island was won by three goals to none, Vanner, Shearcroft and Potter being the scorers.

In the last match an old injury to Wardlaw re-asserted itself, but otherwise the trip was completely successful.

[Team note: given the list of 12 players named in "Gleanings" (above), and with no indication to the contrary, it is assumed that S. Bloxham was the reserve for all three matches, thus the team as shown below played in each game.]
