Hendon open their league campaign on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Tooting & Mitcham United. Gary McCann will be keen to ensure that the squad build on their pre-season form by starting the season on a good note. Kick off at Imperial Fields is 3.00pm.

Unlike the Greens, Tooting's squad has seen a complete overhaul during the summer under new manager Mark Beard. Only two or three of last season's squad remain at the club, although a number of players with Ryman League experience have been brought into the club including one former Hendon favourite in the form of Rob Haworth, who will be captaining our opponents.

Last season saw the Greens take four points from the Terrors, with the two clubs drawing 0-0 at Vale Farm, and Hendon winning 2-0 at Imperial Farm, Anthony Thomas and Belal Aite-Ouakrim scoring the goals.

On the travel front, supporters are advised that the Tramlink will not be operating between Reeves Corner and East Croydon. We suggest that supporters either use the Northern Line and then catch a bus, or travel to Wimbledon and use the tramlink from there to Mitcham Junction. Further details can be found on our Tooting directions page (click the relevant link on the right hand side of the front page of the website).

Please be aware that First Capital Connect Thameslink line trains are not operating through Central London this weekend. There are also various closures on the Circle (whole line), District (Embankment to Barking), Hammersmith & City (Moorgate to Barking), Jubilee (Wembley Park to Waterloo) and Metropolitan Lines (Baker Street to Aldgate).
