With the new season looming, we are pleased to announce that we will have at least three youth teams playing under the Hendon name.

The under 21s will continue to play in the Middlesex County League Division One Central & East and will be looking to improve on their 3rd place finish last season. They will continue under the management of Eamon Finn and Graeme Bourne, and have already begun their pre-season programme with wins over Green Dragon and Sport London e Benfica.

We are sad to lose the services of Paul McGreal and Liam Coogan-Jobes who are standing down as joint-managers of the under 16s. Paul has had a change of job which has resulted in him needing to relocate and have a new work pattern, whilst Liam is due to commence studies at university next month. We would like to thank them both for their excellent work over the past couple of years, and we know that we will continue to see them at first team games as and when they are able to attend.

However, we are delighted that Alan Rolnick has agreed to return to the club and take over as manager of the under 16s, who will continue to play in the Harrow Youth League. Alan was involved in our youth set-up a number of years ago, and he saw a number of his players make first team appearances. The most notable of these was Dale Binns, who went on to make over 200 first team appearances before moving on to play for the likes of Hayes & Yeading United, Cambridge City and Maidenhead United. We are thrilled to have Alan back at the club and we hope that he enjoys his time with us once again.

We are also pleased to announce details of a link-up with an academy based at Hackney College. As a result of this link-up, the college will be fielding an under 18 side under the Hendon name in the Cheshunt Youth League. There is also a possiblity that they will be fielding an under 15 side, but this is yet to be confirmed. More details of this link-up will be available soon.
