Hendon continued their perfect start to the 2026/27 campaign with a stunning 7-0 win over previously unbeaten Raynes Park Vale at Silver Jubilee Park this evening.
Although the first quarter of an hour was even, Hendon took their chances to gather a two-goal lead. Nathan Brathwaite opened the scoring, expertly finishing Isaac Stones's adroit through ball before Radu Stefanoiaca claimed the second from a lovely Tyler Notley delivery from a corner.
A minute after the second goal, Raynes Park Vale were reduced to ten men when Tobi Ogundega was dismissed for a deliberate handball that was deemed to have denied Stones a clear run in on goal.
To the visitors' credit, they continued to carry a threat on the break, but the game was finished as a contest on the stroke of half-time when Stones once again played creator, releasing Stefanoiaca with a lovely weighted pass, the Romanian's finish was equally well-judged just inside the far post.
It took less than two minutes for the second half floodgates to open; another Notley corner caused chaos in the six-yard box and the ball eventually fell for Isaac Currie to swivel and force home his first goal for the club. Four minutes later, Ta'Shae Andall-Gibbons added a fifth, his powerful effort from the edge of the box proving too hot to handle for Fabian Witter in the Raynes Park goal.
The Greens continued to dominate with openings appearing at regular intervals. Reece Nicholas-Davies grabbed his first Hendon goal turning home at the far post after Florian Ada's cross had just eluded Sam Shaban, and Ada himself capped an excellent night for Adam Fisher's side with the 7th, sliding the ball under Witter at the near post to complete the scoring.
Focus now turns to the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon when we host Hertford Town. Kick off is at 3pm.
