When he came on as a substitute at Horndean last Tuesday, Niko Muir made his 250th competitive appearance for the club since his first match, again as a substitute, in the opening League fixture of the 2016-17 season at home to Worthing.

Niko, who is in his fourth spell at the club, has scored 115 goals to date, which places him 10th on the all-time club goalscorers list, just three goals behind the mid-1960's goalscoring ace, David Hyde. However, he requires another 25 goals to reach 8th place.

Should Niko's career at Hendon last long enough to reach 300 appearances, he would join a select list of 23 players who are known to have reached that landmark. Club captain Dave Diedhiou is 7th on the '300 club' list, with 535 appearances (and 70 goals) up to 31st March 2026.
