Hendon eased their relegation fears with two consecutive wins, firstly in a six-pointer at Littlehampton Town, and then on Saturday, with a battling 2-1 success over Hayes & Yeading United.
Jadyn Dundas opened the scoring at Littlehampton in the first half, a goal that was cancelled out by Owen Spicer's strike just before the half hour. Florian Ada popped up at the far post to meet Sam Shaban's flick-on to seal the points and ease the Greens out of the relegation zone.
Ada was quick off the mark on Saturday at Silver Jubilee Park, opening the scoring after just 22 seconds to give Hendon the lead in their local Middlesex derby. Josh Strizovic then saved a penalty just after half-time before Sam Shaban fired home from Keagan Cole's flick-on.
Kaylen Hinds pulled a goal back from a superb overhead kick, before Hayes laid siege to the Hendon goal. Twice they hit the woodwork, had a goal disallowed, and Strizovic pulled off several fine saves to preserve another vital three points for the Greens.
Hendon now move up to 14th in the table, just three points above the relegation zone with nine matches remaining.
