Hendon's four-month winless streak that lasted 21 matches is over after a well-deserved 2-1 win over Chichester City.

After a strong start, Kofi Anokye-Boadi struck a superb opener curling the ball into the top corner beyond the reach of Magnus Norman - the Chichester goalkeeper renewing acquaintances against Hendon after keeping goal for Oldham in last season's FA Trophy tie at Boundary Park - to give the Greens the lead.

Further chances went begging through a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing before Chichester equalised through Joe Clarke's header from a corner in the 43rd minute.

Further chances went begging while Chichester hit the inside of the post with a piledriver of an effort before Tope Fadahunsi made it three goals in four matches when he beat Norman to a poor headed backpass to poke home the winner.

Matteo Salamon had to make a fine low save while the Greens stood firm to withstand a barrage of long throws to secure a long-awaited and well-deserved three points to reduce the gap to five points.
