Funding our Future update

As the sun sets on an outstanding season of progress, thoughts are already turning to planning for the 2024/25 season. As early as Tuesday afternoon, Cyrus Cooper, John Rogers, and Ian Allinson were meeting to plan ahead for next season.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get over the line in the London Senior Cup final as a clinical Charlton Athletic Under 21 side held out despite plenty of late Hendon pressure. However, that hasn't dampened what was an excellent season with a top half finish and that memorable evening at Oldham.

A fuller update on the financial picture is being distributed to club owners(all members of the Supporters Trust) in the next day or two, and we hope to find out whether our application to move across to the Isthmian League has been successful in the next 10 days or so.

We'd also like to thank all those that have contributed to Funding our Future (this is replacing the Twelfth Man Fund) so far. The amount raised stands at just shy of £7,500, which is a great start, but we need more to help this club fulfil its potential.

As a 100% fans' owned club we are entirely reliant on income that we, every Supporters Trust member who is a club owner, generate. Cyrus, John, Ian, and the Trust board are working tirelessly already throughout the close season to find new income streams, talking to potential sponsors, and trying to help build Hendon FC into a self-sufficient club.

To build on the outstanding progress of this season, we are asking supporters to dig as deep as they can to help us raise funds to fully embed Hendon FC in our local community, and give Lee the tools to continue build and develop his talented team.

If 200 people could commit to donating £200 each over the next year, that would bring in £40,000. That is an extra £1,000 per week on the playing budget with some left over to help build the club's reserves and invest in community schemes.

To break that down further, £200 over 12 months equates to £16.67 per month. Could you afford to donate that to the club every month and help us grow?

Hendon FC will continue to live within its means, and as club owners, we all have a part to play. Every little genuinely helps, and the more individuals able to provide us with small amounts on a regular basis will give us every chance of moving forward together.

If you can donate, please visit the Funding our Future page on the Trust website. If you have already donated and would like to set up monthly payments, you can also do so at the website.

We will continue to update everyone regularly throughout the summer.

Thank you for your amazing support, next season begins now!
