We return to FA Cup action with an FA Cup second round qualifying tie with a match against our near neighbours Wingate & Finchley. The Blues reached this stage with a 1–0 victory over fellow Isthmian Premier club Bowers & Pitsea, winning 1–0 at the Maurice Rebak Stadium on Summers Lane, thanks to a late goal from Yannis Ambroisine.

Like the Greens, the Blues have yet to win in their division. Their 2–2 draw away to Bowers & Pitsea was their fourth point earned, with two defeats in their six matches to date. They currently sit 20th out of 22 clubs, a point away from safety at this early stage of the season.

Our last meeting came in August 2020, a London Senior Cup semi-final at Silver Jubilee Park (in the 2019–20 competition) and we came out 3–1 victors after extra-time, Eddie Oshodi, Liam Brooks and Samrai Gebrai getting the Greens goals after Goldy Capela had given the Blues a first-half lead.

Close games, especially in cup-ties have been the order of the day, with Wingate & Finchley triumphing in our only FA Cup meeting, at the first round qualifying stage in September 2017, 4–2 after extra time in a replay, after a 1–1 draw at SJP. In other cups, both teams won once in Isthmian League Cup, both games requiring an additional 30 minutes and it is two wins each in the London Senior Cup. Hendon hold sway in the Middlesex Senior Cup, having won two of our three encounters, though the Blues won the last meeting, 3–1 in November 2019.

Kick-off is at 3.00pm.
