Despite a decent first half performance, Hendon are still to get off the mark for 2019 following a 2-1 defeat at home to Kings Langley this afternoon. Despite losing Connor Callcut midway through the first half, the Greens drew first blood, with Callcut's replacement Elliott Charles firing home just two minutes into his third spell at the club. A determined and composed defensive performance ensured that the home side reached half-time a goal up, allowing the visitors plenty of possession but few chances.

The second half, however, was different story. It took less than ten minutes for Kings Langley to draw level, Callum Adebiyi heading past Bowness before Rene Howe put them ahead in the 71st minute. The Greens misery was complete shortly before the final whistle when a bad tackle from Matty Harriott saw him dismissed and Hendon with just 10 men to chase the game.
