U18 keeper Dan Purdue was Hendon's hero tonight as he saved two penalties in a penalty shoot out that the Greens ultimately won 3-0. The 17 year old keeper was signed this afternoon after Tom Lovelock was confined to bed with flu.

The Greens took the lead in the 32nd minute when Daniel Uchechi scored after being set up by Niko Muir. They had a number of chances to extend the lead but saw efforts either cleared off the line or go wide, and were made to pay when Manny Williams equalised as the game moved into stoppage time.

There was no addition to the scoreline in extra time, and so the game was decided by the penalty shoot-out. Hendon's successful penalty takers were Michael Corcoran, Casey Maclaren and Daniel Uchechi.

We are no closer to knowing our opponents in the next round as Bath City and Margate drew 0-0 at Twerton Park this evening, and will replay next week at Hartsdown Park.
