On a very windy afternoon in Worthing, the first team battled back from going a goal behind to win 2-1 and maintain their position at the top of the league table.

The first half was a scrappy affair, with neither side really coming to terms with the windy conditions. On a day when keeping the ball on the ground was surely the best option, the ball spent a lot of time in the air.

The opening goal came early in the second half when former Hendon defender Alfie Young let rip with a superb effort that stayed low and gave Tom Lovelock no chance.

This seemed to spur the Greens into life and they were rewarded in the 72nd minute when Niko Muir added to his tally for the season with a fine finish from close range.

The winner came fifteen minutes later when Josh Walker chested the ball down and fired a fine volley beyond Lucas Covolan into the back of the net.

Whilst the performance was less convincing than many this season, credit must go to the squad for the character they showed to come back from a goal down to win the game.
