A stoppage time volley from Phil Kelly ensured that the Greens left Brightlingsea Regent empty handed as they were beaten 2-1 by the Essex side.

The first half was an even goalless affair, with chances at a premium, Tom Lovelock having to make one smart save. The Greens had a great chance to take the lead midway through the second half, but Niko Muir's penalty flew high and wide.

Brightlingsea took the lead in the 74th minute when a cross was cleared by Arthur Lee, but his clearance hit Billy Hunt and flew into the net. Just a minute later Keagan Cole equalised when he turned home a Zak Joseph cross from close range.

The winner from Phil Kelly was a superb volley from outside the box that gave Lovelock no chance, and ensured all three points stayed in Essex.
