Decent performance ends in defeat

A positive performance from the Greens ended in defeat at Tonbridge Angels, the home side winning 1-0.

The main difference between the two sides was ultimately the quality of the finishing, with Nathan Elder scoring the only goal of the game in the 77th minute.

A few minutes beforehand the Greens had the perfect opportunity to take the lead when Zak Joseph was fouled just inside the box by Liam Smith, but Matt Ball's penalty hit the bar and was cleared to safety.

Jonathan Henly had been the busier keeper in the first half - making two excellent saves, one at the feet of Joseph, and the second getting fingertips to a shot from Reis Stanislaus.

However, despite the positive performance, it's goals that win games, and that's what the Greens were unable to score.
