The Supporters Association and Trust AGMs took place at Silver Jubilee Park on Wednesday evening giving both organisations a chance to reflect on the transitional season on and off the pitch last year and looking forward to the new campaign with renewed optimism.

Outgoing Supporters Association chair Sandra Wood, Supporters Trust chair Bryan Roberts and the football club chairman Simon Lawrence all addressed those present with the theme very much around looking to the future now that the transition to Silver Jubilee Park has been made.

There was an appeal for more supporters to come forward and volunteer on matchdays whether it be by selling 50/50 tickets around the ground before the game, helping in the club shop or assisting in the boardroom and help lighten the load on those that already make a big contribution by assisting, and also for everyone to work together to try an increase membership of the Association and Trust.

Sandra Wood announced that she was stepping down as Supporters Association chair to be replaced by her husband Tony, whilst John Rice has rejoined the committee in the capacity of Secretary.

The mood from all three speakers was one of cautious optimism as the club is in a more stable and secure state than it has been in more than a decade, however we cannot rest on our laurels. If we want the club to progress then everyone needs to continue to do what they can to grow the fanbase by bringing friends and family to matches, to contribute what they can financially whether through monthly pledges or one of the many available sponsorship packages. Simon closed the meeting by passing on his personal thanks to everyone for their continued support of our football club.
