Club secretary Graham Etchell has announced that he will be retiring from his post this summer, after more than 25 years at the club. Graham has worked tirelessly in his role, ensuring all the administration at the club has been kept in order and making sure that everyone and everything is in the right place at the right time.

His knowledge, guidance and experience has been crucial, particularly in recent years following our departure from Claremont Road, our nomadic years and our move into Silver Jubilee Park to ensure that we were able to keep the club alive and continue playing football. Not only has Graham looked after the administration at the club, he has also ensured we have the right kit at the games, edited the programme, looked after the youth teams and much much more.

Clearly his departure will leave a huge hole at the club, but the Trust Board and the Football Club Board are already looking at how we replace him.

The club will be considering all options before deciding exactly how to proceed. It is possible that the club will look to the supporters for assistance in relation to some of Graham's existing duties and look to recruit a part-time replacement in a paid capacity for his other duties

If you are or might be interested in helping the club in a voluntary capacity or in the part-time paid role or you know someone who might be interested, please send an email expressing that interest to hendonfcwebsite@gmail.com and we will be in touch as soon as we have made a decision on the way forward.

Graham has promised to ensure that there is a handover period so that anyone who assumes any of his responsibilities will have the benefit of his experience and knowledge.

While this post focuses' on Graham and the contribution that he has made, we mustn't forget Lyn, his wife, who has helped behind the scnes at the club and supported Graham in so many ways and for so many years.
