A solitary goal from Dean Cox consigned the first team to a 1-0 defeat at Burgess Hill Town this evening.

Whlist on Saturday the Greens controlled the game at Worthing, the opposite was the case this evening as the home side were very unfortunate not to be ahead at half time having forced Billy Collings into a string of fine saves to keep the scores level.

Collings was finally beaten by an excellent strike from Cox in the 53rd minute, and whilst the efforts of the Greens couldn't be faulted chances were limited throughout the game, probably the best falling to Keagan Cole late on who saw his effort to just over the corner of the goal.

It's FA Trophy action on Saturday when we travel to Leiston in the first qualifying round, kick off at 3:00pm. If a replay is required it will take place at SJP on Tuesday 1st November.
