Hendon had a record-breaking afternoon today as they won 11-1 at Leyton. The result is the clubs' highest ever win in the Isthmian League, and it equals two 11-1 wins during our Athenian League days. It is also believed to be the clubs' highest ever away win in all competitions. The day was made even better with the news that Chelmsford City had lost 4-2 at Boreham Wood.

The scoring was opened by Wayne O'Sullivan in the 23rd minute before Lubo Guentchev doubled the lead in the 31st minute. O'Sullivan made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute and that was the score at the break. Leyton pulled a goal back in the 51st minute, but three minutes later their keeper dropped the ball over the line for an own goal. O'Sullivan completed his hat-trick on the hour mark, and scored his fourth of the afternoon in the 64th minute, before Brian Haule made it 7-1 in the 72nd minute. Lubo Guentchev scored his second in the 85th minute, before Jamie Busby scored two in two minutes immediately afterwards. The eleventh goal was scored by Ivailo Dimitrov - his first goal for the club.
