The first team's FA Cup run came to an end this afternoon following a 3-0 defeat at Boreham Wood, a scoreline that was perhaps a little bit harsh on the Greens.

The Greens played the full 90 minutes aiming to play the way they like to, and certainly caused the Vanarama National side problems when attacking, with Casey Maclaren having an effort cleared off the line, whilst efforts at goal also came from Niko Muir, Andre Da Costa and others.

However, the home side were just that bit better, as you would expect from a side playing two levels above the Greens, and their goals came from Morgan Ferrier in the 10th minute, Bruno Andrade in the 66th minute and Angelo Balanta in the 90th minute.

There is more cup action on Wednesday evening when we entertain Wembley at Silver Jubilee Park in the Middlesex Senior Cup, kick off at 7:45pm. Should scores be level after 90 minutes, the tie will go straight to penalties.
