Hendon moved above Margate and Dulwich Hamlet into second place tonight following a 2-0 win over Metropolitan Police.

The scoring was opened on the stroke of half-time when Andre Da Costa scored a superb free kick into the top corner from 30 yards.

The lead was doubled midway through the second period when Casey Maclaren thumped home a rebound after Charlie Goode had hit the bar with a header from a Sam Murphy cross.

Romayne Marsh-Brown pulled a late goal back for the visitors, but the Greens were able to secure all three points.
