Hendon ran out 2-0 winners against a physical AFC Hornchurch outfit this evening, with both goals coming in the second half.

As with the goals on Saturday, both goals were well worked and well taken. The first came five minutes into the second period when a through ball enabled Leon Smith to beat the offside trap and finish clinically, and the second came when Casey Maclaren rose unmarked to head the ball home.

Belal Aite-Ouakrim had two late chances superbly saved by Sam Mott, whilst at the other end, the back four protected Ben McNamara very well to ensure the clean sheet. The Urchins played out the last ten minutes with ten men after Danny Johnson was sent off for a second caution.
