Tomorrow afternoon will be a historic one as the Greens will wear their new Orange away strip as they play Enfield Town in a league fixture for the first time. Our two clubs have met five times in cup competition, with the Greens running out winners on each occasion, the most recent being a 3-2 win in the Middlesex Senior Cup in November 2010.

The club was formed by supporters of the now defunct Enfield FC in June 2001, and they began life in the Essex Senior League, and this is their first season at this level.

Our opponents have two former Greens in their line up in the shape of 41 year old midfielder Jonathan Hunt, who made 13 appearances in the 1990/91 season, and 26 year old defender Mark Kirby who made 43 appearances for Hendon before moving to Enfield Town three years ago.

Enfield moved up to 13th place in the table on Tuesday evening as they beat Harrow Borough 2-0 with goals from Hunt and Adam Wallace.

Our opponents moved into their new home at the QE Stadium in Donkey Lane, not that far from the old Southbury Road home of the old club. Full travel details can be found on the directions page of the site.

Admission at the ground is one of the cheapest in the league this season with costs being £9 for adults, £5 for concessions and £1 for under 16s.
