It has been announced by the club today that James Burgess has been released from his Ryman League registration and is expected to sign for Harrow Borough.

James has been at the club for over 10 years, and has been an a very loyal and hard working member of the squad throughout that time making 324 first team appearances, scoring 3 goals, along with numerous other appearances in friendlies and for the reserve team. This makes him the highest appearance maker since Simon Clarke left the club in 2002.

James made his debut on 2nd February 2002 in the FA Trophy replay win over Cambridge City and was a regular member of the squad from the following season, appearing in a number of positions, becoming including as a substitute goalkeeper at Margate when Luke Blackmore was injured. He wore every outfield shirt number, completing the set wearing number 9 on his 300th appearance against AFC Hornchurch on the last day of the 2009-10 season.

We would like to thank James for all his hard work over the years, and we will always be delighted to welcome him and his family back at Hendon.
