A win tonight against Metropolitan Police would return the Greens to the top of the table, at least until Saturday afternoon. Therefore Gary McCann will be working hard to ensure that the squad are fully focused on the job in hand following the disappointing defeat at Canvey Island at the weekend.

Our opponents also had a disappointing FA Trophy defeat, going down 1-0 at Folkestone Invicta, but, in their first season in the top flight of the Isthmian League, the boys in blue have had a steady start to their campaign, picking up 19 points in their 12 games so far, leaving them in 9th place going into tonight's game.

Tonight is the Greens' first home game for 6 weeks, following a run of 8 away games in all competitions, so it is important as many of us as possible turn up to get behind the team and hopefully cheer them on to three points.

Kick off at Vale Farm is at the usual midweek time of 7.45pm.
