Hendon came back from going a goal behind at Maldon & Tiptree to win 3-1 and progress into the final qualifying round of the FA Cup for the third season in a row.

Maldon were just the better of the two sides for the first hour and were deservedly ahead at half-time following a 34th minute goal from Marcus Milner.

The game turned in the 61st minute when Carl McCluskey equalised, and this appeared to spark the Greens into life. Greg Ngoyi put Hendon ahead five minutes later, and things were made easier in the 75th minute when Maldon's James Lawson was sent off for an off the ball incident.

The final goal that secured progression in the competition came shortly before the end from Elliott Godfrey.

The next round will be played on Saturday 29th October, which means that our planned home game against Leatherhead will be rearranged for a new date.
