An 83rd minute strike from Aaron Morgan was enough to win tonight's friendly at Biggleswade Town, the Greens first victory in pre-season.

Hendon fielded two experienced trialists in former Northwood, Wealdstone and Hampton & Richmond Borough striker Lawrence Yaku, as well as midfielder Elliott Godfrey who has also appeared for Hampton, as well as Boreham Wood, AFC Wimbledon and Watford. A third trialist, Hasan Soloman came on as a subsitute in the second half.

The first half was an evenly matched affair, with chances at a premium. Indeed, throughout the game Berkley Laurencin only had to make one save of note, although he was called upon to make a number of clearances in the second half.

The goal came when Kevin Maclaren slid the ball into the path of Morgan, and he had no hesitation in firing the ball past the keeper from 20 yards.
