A Hendon side consisting again of reserves and trialists fell to a 4-0 defeat to a full strength Wembley side, which included former Hendon player Steve O'Carroll in their starting line up. Also in their side were two or three members of the side that played against the Dons in the Middlesex Senior Cup Final in 1999. Wembley took the lead midway through the first half, and they appeared to field a stronger side after substitutions in the second half, as they took control to win 4-0. However, the Hendon side still made a good account of themselves, and they were unfortunate not to score a goal for their efforts.
