Hendon produced another excellent performance to beat 10th place St. Albans City at Clarence Park tonight. Haule opened the scoring for the Greens in the sixth minute, deflecting a goalbound strike from Guentchev, leaving St. Albans 'keeper Laurence Batty diving the wrong way. The Saints soon drew back however, Gary Ansell producing a stunning strike that left Wilmot with little hope of preventing it from entering the top corner. By the second half, Hendon had regained the initiative though, as early on Clarke produced a curling shot that deceived the 'keeper, and five minutes later, Haule drove a shot from a cross low under the diving Batty.
